The Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain Range lies just 20 kilometers south of Vinicunca and offers not one but three mountains with colors similar to those of Rainbow Mountain. Here you can admire a range of ochre and red hues with green, blue and white bands, produced by minerals such as copper, silver, bronze and quartz.
The dazzling Palcoyo mountain range is visited by only a handful of travelers each day. Reaching it requires just a 40-minute walk along a flat trail, making it a far less demanding alternative to the hike up Vinicunca, the Mountain of Seven Colors.
